Student journalists from around the world can apply for the program.
The World Curling Federation (WCF) is accepting applications for its sports media trainee program. Eight students will be selected to be immersed in the journalism, photography and TV production departments of the 2015-2016 curling championships.
One journalism trainee and one photography trainee will travel to Le Gruyère European Curling Championships Nov. 20 to 28, 2015 in Esbjerg, Denmark.
One journalism trainee, one photography trainee and a TV production trainee will intern at the World Junior Curling Championships March 5 to 13, 2016 in Erzurum, Turkey.
And a trainee in each of the three disciplines will cover the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship April 16 to 24 in in Karlstad, Sweden.
The selected students will receive a fully paid trip to the championships, accommodations and some living expenses for the duration of the events.
The application deadline is Oct. 20.
